Industries

Industries we understand, not just industries we accept

Generic banking works until the model gets interesting. FinXP learns how your business operates before deciding on fit.

Why it matters

The same payment product behaves differently in different hands

A Euro account for an ecommerce merchant and a Euro account for a marketplace look identical on a product page. In operation they are not remotely the same thing: different settlement logic, different reconciliation burden, different counterparty exposure, different regulatory questions.

A provider who does not understand that difference will do one of two things. It will decline you, because the model does not fit a template. Or it will accept you and then discover the complexity later, usually at the point where it becomes your problem.

Understanding your sector before onboarding is not a nicety. It is what determines whether the infrastructure works once the volume arrives.

The constants

Whatever the industry, the foundation is the same

Every sector page above stands on the same four things.

01

A licensed European institution

FinXP is an Electronic Money Institution licensed in Malta and a Mastercard Principal Member, with twelve years of continuous operation behind it.

02

Infrastructure we own

Direct participation in CENTROlink means Euro payments run on rails we control, not through a chain of intermediaries whose behaviour we cannot influence.

03

A full capability set

Euro accounts and IBANs, payment gateway, SEPA Direct Debit collections, cross-border payouts and card issuing, combined to fit the sector rather than sold as a template.

04

Assessment, not labels

We assess businesses on their actual model, controls and counterparties. Not on the industry code sitting at the top of the file.

FAQ

Industry payments, answered

Because the same payment product carries different risks and different operational requirements depending on the sector using it. Settlement logic, reconciliation complexity, counterparty exposure and regulatory obligations all vary by industry. A provider that does not understand the sector will either decline the business by default or accept it and discover the complexity later, when it has become the client's problem.

Yes. FinXP assesses complex sectors through a regulated onboarding process based on the business's actual model, controls and counterparties rather than accepting or rejecting by industry label alone. Businesses that have been declined elsewhere on the grounds of categorisation can still have a substantive conversation with FinXP.

FinXP serves fintechs, PSPs and banks, marketplaces and platforms, payroll and contractor payment businesses, digital asset and Web3 companies, affiliate payout networks, advertising and marketing networks, and ecommerce merchants across Europe.

Yes. Many FinXP clients arrive having been declined by providers who could not assess their business model. FinXP does not treat a previous decline as disqualifying. It assesses the underlying business, its controls and its regulatory standing.

FinXP provides dedicated Euro accounts and IBANs, payment gateway capability, SEPA Direct Debit collections, cross-border payouts and card issuing. These are configured to the operational requirements of each sector rather than sold as a single fixed package.

Yes. FinXP is authorised as an Electronic Money Institution, regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority, and is a Mastercard Principal Member.
